NSW Low income household rebate

 

Later Life Advice has found more than 40 programs, rebates and concessions available for age pensioners.

What? A NSW government rebate for Pensioners to help pay electricity bills. 

How much? The value of the rebate is $285 if you have an account with an energy retailer or $313.50 for long-term residents of residential communities, retirement villages and strata schemes

How to apply? If you have an electricity account with an authorised energy retailer  you need to contact your retailer and notify them and they will apply the NSW Low Income Household Rebate to your account. 

Background

The NSW Government has budgeted $193m in Low Income Household Rebate concessions for 2017-18.

This is a substantial benefit to the cost of living for an Australian receiving an age pension.
